Hwy 169 north of St. Peter to open

After weeks of flooding, Hwy 169 will re-open

MANKATO, MN-(October 11, 2010) – Highway 169 between St. Peter and Le Sueur are to open around 9 p.m. Wednesday after weeks of flooding.

Minnesota Department of Transportation are in the process of clearing several miles of traffic control so all four lanes of Highway 169 can re-open.

Highway 169 was able to re-open to the public after flood waters receded on Oct. 5, however, a four-mile portion north of St. Peter remained restricted to one lane due to a 200-foot section that collapsed.

Highway 66 south of Mankato is the only remaining state highway that is closed because of the flooding in south-central Minnesota.
